Thursday 23rd May

Really lovely to have a shower and enjoy the pastries Hannah had bought us for b reakfast. We stayed in this morning and did stuff on the computer. Rob came in for lunch and then when he went back to work we went into Guildford in the rain :) It was very showery and we had to use the umbrella quite a bit. I got some pants and leggings from Primark and we got rob and Hannah some cushions! He hates cushions but said they could probably do with some because they go and get their pillows when they watch tv. Found TK Max and Stephen bought some shorts and I found a lovely quilt cover reduced from £95 to £12 :) Found the new edition of the magazine in smiths and had a look at that. Guildford is quite a nice town with an old high street and new malls. We parked for nothing which was good and not too far to walk. I had envisaged walking along the canal and a little bit of shopping but it turned into a trawling round the shops session because you couldn’t park anywhere near the canal:( The traffic was awful too! Back to Sayers Croft and Rob made us a lovely curry :) It cheered up a bit and we went for a little walk round sayers croft and into the village.

Friday 24

Rain Rain Rain:( Hannah off so went to the caravan at mid morning and spent the day with her. She is doing some mental maths skills sample tests on the computer because she has to take this skills test on June 4. Rob finished at 3.30 and we played a couple of game of Pandemic. Rob made sausage and mash for tea after watching the chase and we stayed at the caravan while they went to Sainsburys and to collect Hannah’s Mum Marilyn and sister Elaine. They got back about 9.30 and we had a coffee and a chat.

Saturday 25th – walk ***** Two hills from Sayers Croft.

Hoorah it is sunny :) We went into the caravan for a pastries breakfast and Rob made us fabulous egg sandwiches with eggs from Maz’s chickens. We set off about 11.30 to do the two hills walk. We set off through the lovely woods in Sayers Croft which were covered in bluebells :)walked up Pitch Hill and Holmsbury Hill – about 8 miles and we took the steep way up and down! Nice picnic at the top of Holmsbury:) When we got back down to the village Maz bought us all an ice cream. After a cuppa we went over to the high ropes and went on them. There was a fox in the field. Mag and I went for a walk round and saw 2 deer :) Lots of rabbits about too. We had a Chinese and Rob, Hannah and Maz went to get it. We played Phase 10 (well Phase 5) and Elaine won. Off early tomorrow morning so said our goodbyes then Rob took us on the wonderful reflector walk through the forest – you take a torch and in the pitch dark follow reflectors stapled to trees to complete the walk. He also took a really strong daylight torch and shone it into the fields and we saw deer and a fox :) Lots of hooting owls. What a wonderful place this is :)
